Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's First Netflix Series Has Been Announced

Meghan and Harry, exiting from the royal family, was announced their multi-year partnership with Netflix last September.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, who quit the royal family, have signed their first contract with Netflix. Heart of Invictus, which will be produced by the couple’s Archewell Productions, will be the couple’s first partnership with Netflix. The documentary will be about the Invictus Games, which were postponed to next year due to COVID-19, which has affected the world.

Ted Sarandos, co-CEO and chief content officer at Netflix, said of Heart of Invictus, “The Duke and Duchess of Sussex and the Archewell Productions team are building an ambitious slate that reflects the values and causes they hold dear. From the moment I met them, it’s been clear that the Invictus Games hold a very special place in their hearts, and I couldn’t be happier that their first series for Netflix will showcase that for the world in a way never seen before.”

Orlando von Dieselo will direct the film, which will also feature Prince Harry, and Joanna Natasegara will produce it. The documentary Heart of Invictus will introduce to the screen the planning process for the Invictus Games, which will be improved in The Hague in 2022, as well as the backstage stories of the participants and organizers, as well as the organization’s preparation process. Invictus Games, which began in 2014 under Prince Harry’s leadership, is an event in which veteran soldiers rehabilitate themselves by playing in various sports branches.

BluTV, one of Turkey’s streaming platforms, is growing. The platform, which will broadcast award-winning films such as Our Grand Despair, The Pigeon, Seaburners, and The Blue Wave, will also stream award-winning Turkish films that will hit theaters.

BluTV, which began broadcasting in 2015 adds award-winning Turkish art house movies. BluTV, which already has a large archive of movies and TV shows, will now add some of Turkey’s most well-known art house films. The platform, which will bring together award-winning films such as Our Great Despair, Pigeon, Taste of Sand and Blue Wave, will also broadcast award-winning domestic films that will be screened in cinemas in the future.

Sophie Turner, the ‘Game of Thrones actor is returning to HBO and joins in ‘The Staircase’ criminal thriller based on a true story.

The Game of Thrones star has been cast in the short series The Staircase, which will be available on HBO Max, the company’s streaming service.

The Staircase is based on the true story of novelist Michael Peterson, his huge North Carolina family, and his wife Kathleen Peterson‘s unexplained death. Margaret Ratliff, one of Peterson’s adoptive kids, will be played by Turner. Also in 2004, a French documentary titled The Staircase examined the Peterson case.

Turner is best recognized for her performance of Sansa Stark in the HBO series “Game of Thrones”. Turner was nominated for an Emmy for best supporting actress. She is also well-known for her portrayal of Jean Grey in the most recent films of the “X-Men” film franchise, “X-Men: Apocalypse” and “X-Men: Dark Phoenix.”

Sophie Turner joins an all-star cast that includes Colin Firth, Toni Collette, Juliette Binoche, Rosemarie DeWitt, and Parker Posey in the project.

Showrunners Antonio Campos (The Devil All the Time) and Maggie Cohn wrote and executive produced the series (American Crime Story). Campos also will direct six of the eight episodes.. HBO Max and Annapurna Television collaborated on the series.

The docuseries was first released in 2004, with creator Jean-Xavier de Lestrade updating it with fresh facts throughout the years. In 2018, Netflix released it as a 13-episode series.

Anna Karenina’s contemporary version based on Leo Tolstoy’s famous novel “Anna K”, will be Netflix’s first Russian original drama series.

Anna K., based on Tolstoy’s important work that has been adapted several times, is Netflix‘s first Russian drama series. Anna Karenina will be played by Svetlana Khodchenkova. The series will be directed by Valeriy Fedorovich, Evgeniy Nikishov, Natasha Merkulova, Aleksey Chupov, and Roman Kantor.

The series takes place in modern-day Russia, where socialite Anna Karenina, the wife of the soon-to-be governor of St. Petersburg, falls in love with Vronsky, the heir to an aluminum empire. Their affair gradually spirals out of control, jeopardizing the delicate balance of their familial and social ties.

The location shifts between cosmopolitan Moscow, medieval St. Petersburg, and Russia’s harsh hinterland.

The series will be shot on the streets of Moscow and St. Petersburg. It will be available on Netflix worldwide.

The release date is yet to be announced.
