BAFTA winner John Morton is writing, directing, and executive producing the first two episodes of the series. More prominent names are expected to be confirmed soon, given the show’s structure, which revolves around a talent agency with celebrity clients.
The adaptation, which is now in production, will be connected to the French series while incorporating Morton‘s British sensibility and introducing some new plots. Sarah Curtis is a producer, while Ben Rimmer is a co-producer, with Emma Fleischer from BRON serving as supervising producer.

The Game of Thrones star has been cast in the short series The Staircase, which will be available on HBO Max, the company’s streaming service.
The Staircase is based on the true story of novelist Michael Peterson, his huge North Carolina family, and his wife Kathleen Peterson‘s unexplained death. Margaret Ratliff, one of Peterson’s adoptive kids, will be played by Turner. Also in 2004, a French documentary titled The Staircase examined the Peterson case.
Turner is best recognized for her performance of Sansa Stark in the HBO series “Game of Thrones”. Turner was nominated for an Emmy for best supporting actress. She is also well-known for her portrayal of Jean Grey in the most recent films of the “X-Men” film franchise, “X-Men: Apocalypse” and “X-Men: Dark Phoenix.”
Sophie Turner joins an all-star cast that includes Colin Firth, Toni Collette, Juliette Binoche, Rosemarie DeWitt, and Parker Posey in the project.
Showrunners Antonio Campos (The Devil All the Time) and Maggie Cohn wrote and executive produced the series (American Crime Story). Campos also will direct six of the eight episodes.. HBO Max and Annapurna Television collaborated on the series.
The docuseries was first released in 2004, with creator Jean-Xavier de Lestrade updating it with fresh facts throughout the years. In 2018, Netflix released it as a 13-episode series.

Anna K., based on Tolstoy’s important work that has been adapted several times, is Netflix‘s first Russian drama series. Anna Karenina will be played by Svetlana Khodchenkova. The series will be directed by Valeriy Fedorovich, Evgeniy Nikishov, Natasha Merkulova, Aleksey Chupov, and Roman Kantor.
The series takes place in modern-day Russia, where socialite Anna Karenina, the wife of the soon-to-be governor of St. Petersburg, falls in love with Vronsky, the heir to an aluminum empire. Their affair gradually spirals out of control, jeopardizing the delicate balance of their familial and social ties.
The location shifts between cosmopolitan Moscow, medieval St. Petersburg, and Russia’s harsh hinterland.
The series will be shot on the streets of Moscow and St. Petersburg. It will be available on Netflix worldwide.
The release date is yet to be announced.
