COVID-19 Precautions for 93rd Oscar Award Ceremony

The updated precautions for the 93rd Academy Awards Ceremony, which will be held in two locations as in-person, have been revealed.

New precautions have been announced for the 93rd Oscar Award Ceremony, which will be held with attendees. The ceremony will be conducted in two venues, including the Dolby Theater, where it has historically been held, and the Union Station in downtown Los Angeles, which was revealed last week. Because of the travel restrictions, new venues in London are being prepared for nominees from Europe.

Attendees to the ceremony in Los Angeles expected to undergo a 10-day quarantine period. It is also mentioned in the statements that the attendees will be tested for Covid-19 twice before the ceremony.

The 93rd Academy Awards ceremony, which announced the nominations in recent weeks, will bring people together in-person on April 25, 2021.

The award will find its winners with a ceremony to be held in Berlin on 11 December. Among the prominent productions of the 34th European Film Awards are The Father, Quo Vadis, Aida? and Titane.

Record Number of International Best Film Oscar Nominations

The number of nominations in the International Best Movie category of the 94th Oscar Awards broke the record.

This year, 93 films were nominated to compete in the International Best Film category of the 94th Academy Awards.

Ninety-three films from around the world were candidate for nomination to compete in the International Best Film category of the 94th Oscar Awards. The category in which Semih Kaplanoğlu’s film “The Commitment Hasan” from Turkey will compete in has reached a record number of candidates this year. The list of candidate for nomination, which will be reduced to 15 films after the first round of voting by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, will announce official list with five films in second round.

Special online screening rooms will be created for academy members to vote for the category. Within the voting groups formed of five people, each member will vote for 12 different films. The first round of voting, which will begin on December 10, will end on December 15. While the short list of 15 different international films will be announced on December 21, the final list of five films will be presented to the audience in the coming days.

The 93 films that were nominated to compete in the International Best Film category of the 94th Oscar Awards are as follows:
